Objectives: students will:
1. Define cell,tissue and organ
2. Recognize different types of tissues of human body
3. Share the examples of different organs of human body
Resources:n Chart containing human body, Samples of bones of human body, Worksheets, Diagrams of different organs of human body
Assessment tools: Observation, questions-answers, samples of students’ tasks
Activities
Engage (5 min): Ask the students name some parts of their body
Explore (3 min): Show some diagrams of human body and ask the students to identify the names of the parts of human body which they did not share earlier.
Explain (10 min): Explain cell, tissue and organs of human body
Elaborate (10 min): Form groups/pairs of students and assign them a task to identify different types of tissues in the given organ in each group or pair. Then provided an opportunity to students to share their understanding and provide feedback.
Evaluate (5 min): At the end of the lesson ask some questions to evaluate your lesson.
Home work (2 min): Assign home work looking at the context
