Concept: Living things breathe and need food
Learning objectives:
Students will;
1. Draw a thing that needs air and food to live and draw a thing that does not need air and food
2. Give at least three examples of each living and non-living thing on the basis of breath and food
Resources:
Worksheets, Diagrams of a living thing and nonliving thing, colored pencils, chalks, markers, etc
Activities:
1. With the help of an example of a diagram explain that living things breathe and need food to live while nonliving things do not breathe and do not need food.
2. Then ask the students to draw a thing that needs air to breathe and food. Then ask them to draw another thing that does not need air and food
3. Then assign another task to give at least three examples of each living and nonliving thing under drawn things.
Assessment techniques:
Observe students’ drawings, check some samples of students’ examples of living and nonliving things at random, and ask questions related to the concept.
